Follow the directions and charge it up. It took me 3 cycles to get a full charge. I love that it is bigger and creates an angle. Lasts at least 6.5 hours for me at this point.

I am editing this to remove my comment that it would not fit in my laptop bag. LOL it seems all I needed to do was put it in with the battery down first...then it zips up nice and snug.

This battery will add some weight to your netbook, but it's worth every pound. I'm getting about seven hours of battery life, which has been great. I also like the design of the battery as it gives you a slight angle which makes typing the keyboard much nicer.

The batter has worked fine. I like the larger battery size as it worked for me all the way from PDX to DAL. The free gift the sd card was missing and the card reader was broken.

The Acer Aspire One replacement laptopm notebook 9 cell battery came on time, was delivered in a protective wrap, and charged up to 3 hours the first time. It got progressively more time with each charge and on the 5th charge, came up to 12 hours+.
It tilts the notebook forward but this may be more comfortable and cooler for most users. I like this product and would buy it again.
