Product Description Power your laptop while on the road with this convenient car adapter. An Intelligent IC chip recognizes a fully charged battery and automatically switches to saver mode to prevent overcharging and short circuit. While not in use, conveniently charge your laptop like you would your cell phone or navigation device, from the cigarette lighter. This is the perfect compliment for those who travel with a laptop / notebook.

Works just like it's supposed to September 29, 2009 M. Hull (Fort Wayne, IN United States) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
Plug it in, turn on the laptop, done! It does everything the OEM power brick does, but through a cigarette lighter.
I checked the output voltage of this thing, and it's right at 18 volts. The OEM power brick output is 19 volts. Close enough!
The cigarette lighter side gets slightly warm while it has a load on it (charging the battery while the machine is powered on), but I wouldn't consider it any kind of hazard. It doesn't get anywhere near as warm as the OEM power brick does.
It just plain works like it is supposed to. Enough said.
Works for acer netbooks, xmas 2009. December 23, 2009 Mark Spark (Kansas City, MO United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Bought this for the Acer netbook, and it works! No shorts, no overheating, no wrong size. Just flat out works!
It Works As I Expected January 13, 2010 J. Simpkins (Virginia Tech, VA, US) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
It works just as expected, charging my Aspire One just as quickly as the standard adapter can. It does get warm, but not alarmingly hot. I only have one bone with this charger: the adapter tip feels very weak, with minimal plastic molding around the barrel tip.
Near Perfect Car Charger For My Acer Aspire One March 9, 2010 Jeffery H. Reynolds (Dallas, TX) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The charger works fine. It's a great value for the money. I really have no complaints about it. It seems to be well manufactured. I'm surprised that the product is not available in any stores locally. If it were, I would imagine it would sell with every Netbook sold. The vendor got the item shipped promptly. I have no issues with them either. All in all... I'm happy.
