Got for the EeePC, which does not have a CD-Drive.
It works well with original discs. But it is VERY touchy with home burned discs. It didn't want to read my backup XP Pro install disc. Had to pop in the original disc, but then it worked well.

I have a small Acer netbook which is compact and great to carry around at only a few pounds. To attain that size and weight it unfortunately doesn't have a CD drive to enter new programs onto the computer. Staples and other office stores only carried the expensive $80 range CD/DVD/writable, etc. - much more than I need just to put in a program. This small, efficient CD drive was just plug and play easy. And all of this for under $10.!!! Unbelievable! The shipping charge was almost more than the CD drive - still a great deal. What a buy! Good quality and came with all the needed cables. I can't be happier with my purchase.
